ABOUT US
Plymouth University's Ultimate Frisbee Team. Competing in Men's, Women's and Mixed leagues all over the UK both indoors and outdoors. #PTID #Bleedblue
PICNIC has been running for 28 years now. This year we as a team want to increase our involvement in the local community with volunteering and coaching encouraging more people to start playing Ultimate. Other goals our committee have decided on is to improve organisation within the club, provide more kit and to increase the numbers of members in the club.
After a year off due to COVID, this year we are looking to grow the club and have as much fun playing again as possible! We have more women returning than men for the first time in the club's history and so hoping to continue our women's success from the 2019/2020 season and qualify for nationals again!

COMPETITIONS
It changes every year but these are the types of competition we usually take part in throughout the year.
INDOOR BUCS
We compete in Men's and Women's Indoor University Regionals each year. We regularly have a team coming in the top 8 of each competition and every year our aim is to get through to Nationals although due to the strength and number of members in the other universities in the South West we sometimes struggle with this.
OUTDOOR BUCS
On Wednesday afternoons throughout the autumn and winter we compete in both a league and a cup tournament. Struggling to get numbers each week we tend to focus on getting as far as possible in the Cup tournament as this gives us the chance to reach Nationals at the end of the season. Thanks to the change of rules in Sept. 19 we have now changed our team from Men's to Open and our women compete alongside.
OTHER COMPETITIONS
Throughout the year we try and take part in other competitions as well as BUCs. This starts with our own run tournament Plymouth Beginners and usually ends with Mixed Tour. We try and get involved in both competitive and fun tournaments and encourage as many members as we can to take part in these throughout the year. We also arrange two hat tournaments a year to raise money for our chosen charity.
